The Arrow of Light Ceremony for our Webelos 2 Scouts is this Friday, March 12.  The Ceremony will be located in the SCC Chapel at 6:30pm.  Please tell family to arrive shortly after 6:00pm so that they are seated before the ceremony begins!  Most people do not allow time to arrive at a large church, especially since parking will be full!  Families can set up their AOL displays in the reception room AT200/202 before the ceremony begins.  Webelos 1 Scouts are requested to attend the ceremony.  Additionally help from the Webelos 1 families is needed at the Ceremony and Reception (reception is for Webelos 2 Scouts and their families only).  Last year we began a process which we hope to continue into the future.  Webelos 1 families help with the AOL reception for the Webelos 2 families.  Next year, the Webelos 1 Patrols will be helping with YOUR reception so that you do not have to worry about it that night.  In order for this to work however, we need you to come help.  We would like one person from each Webelos 1 family to commit to helping out.  We need people to help with reception setup at 5pm, service after the ceremony at approximately 7:30pm and cleanup after the reception at 8:30pm.  Additionally, I will need about 3 people to tear down the Chapel setup and take the supplies back to the Pack Closet after the Ceremony.  None of this is a lot of work, but we need a fair number of people and this really makes it nice for the AOL families.  Since you will be there for the ceremony anyway, please do this, as it will be expected to be done for you next year!  Full class A uniform for all Webelos is required!  Remember, you will want next year’s Webelos 1 families to do this for you, so please pay it forward by helping out this year!

          We are having an equipment sale/trade night at scouts. If you have camping, hiking or backpacking equipment that you no longer need or use then this is the time to get rid of it. We have a bunch of scouts going over to the Boy Scouts and some Webelos going on an adventure trip in the summer that is in need of equipment. So get it together (make sure you have all the parts) and figure up a price and bring it in.

If JCPS cancels school due to weather, we will NOT have scouts.  We will, however, meet during some JCPS holidays (check the pack calendar)
